The Outdoor day we had last week was such a success, nursery staff have decided to continue learning outside every Friday from now until the end of this term. Please could we emphasise the importance of sunscreen and sun hats. Due to council policies nursery staff are not allowed to apply sunscreen to children, so it is very important that sunscreen is applied BEFORE children come to nursery. This should happen every day but even more important on a Friday when we will be outside all session.
In response to our recent Learning Environment survey the Nursery team have agreed to initially develop and review three areas of the Nursery. On Tuesday we will meet to discuss progress and next steps.
As a team we all agree on the benefits of open ended resources and would appreciate your help to source the following items:
- glass pebbles
- pine cones
- wooden pegs

We open again on Monday 9th January 2017
To help raise funds, the Nursery we will be selling raffle tickets for our two Christmas hampers. We would also appreciate donations for the hampers and any other raffle prizes you are able to donate. Raffle tickets will go on sale next week.
The Nursery team would like to use money raised to purchase all weather suits or mini ipads but are open to suggestions from our families. After Christmas the children will be involved in deciding what the money will be spent on.
We would like to invite all our Nursery families and staff to complete a short online survey to help us improve the learning environment.
